Replaced arced right rear tailight assemblyīlower stopped working. Key entry and alld doors would not function. Seat upholstery and heating element never repairedĭoor locks and windows did not work. Seat came apart and heating element quit working Tried to start jeep at 4am would not turn over, battery is good initially bought a new battery, but this POC has no dummy light, so I spent $150 on a not needed battery and another $250 to have a mechanic diagnose and replace the starter which is dirt cheap. Wires were reconnected and soldered.Ī lose conection bridge within the starter. Seems to be insufficient slack in wires to handle the door movement and they're brittle, too. Drivers door had the same problem a year ago. Wires in the passenger door were broken, common problem. Online reading suggests a 100% failure rate! The blend doors won't open on the driver's side, meaning that all winter I get cold air blowing on me and the only way to keep the cabin warm is to blast the heat out of the passenger's side. Passenger window regulator failed and was replaced. Same problem recurring, suggested repair has been done twice with no satisfaction Inspection determines blend doors in heater box stick and do not blend. Wire replaced.ĭriver side heats when passenger side cools or driver bakes while navigator freezes. Open circuit traced to "pinched" wire in door hinge area. Right front door lock functioned intermittently.
Changed wiring harness and system is allegedly repaired.
fried driver, froze navigator (reversed control head wiring did not change anything) and didn't matter if system was in manual or automatic mode. Random, hard to repeat.ĭriver's door window failed to stay closed and, when fully open, would not close. Heat or cool will fry or freeze pilot with NO flow to nav. In manual-mode, air turns on but will not turn off. HVAC has mind of its own, or more likely, "forgets" what it's supposed to be doing. Ground wire in door boot broke, had to remove boot and repair wire.
